We chose this cruise for a nice fall getaway. Overall the cruise was a pleasant one, albeit not a spectacular one. Embarkation was a smooth process. Were able to have lunch in the dining room. The weather cooperated on the first sea day and remained nice for most of the cruise. Liked the hot tub but were disappointed with the pool. It was rather small and usually crowded. The usual complaints about people depositing their towels and belongings on the deck chairs and not showing up until much later. If they state they have a policy why do they do not enforce it? Saw some people smoking in the hot tuband nothing was done about it. One deck steward did bring a plastic mug for someone in the hot tub who was drinking beer from a bottle?
We had a mini-suite with balcony. Great service from the cabin steward. I must say that the balcony was not the cleanest but I suppose it is difficult to keep them clean.
We usually ate in the dining room. Lunch and breakfast menus were the same each day. We are not great fans of free style cruising because you have different waiters each time. When we did ask for a particular team of stewards, we were told that section was full if they were able to locate them. Unlike other cruise ships we were never asked if we wanted to join others or have others join us. We enjoy getting to meet people this way. Food was on the whole good but certainly not outstanding.
We had a mini-suite with balcony. Closet was in an awkward place and tiny. We were on deck 11 and it got noisy at times as we were just below the pool area. Nice television but poor choice of movies. Not a fan of Fox television. Pull out couch was uncomfortable. Chair was missing two of its coasters and wobbled. I don't mind shampoo from a container but please add some conditioner to the shampoo. No lotion in the room. The floor covering on the balcony looked grungy.
