Oasis was our second cruise, first being Carnival Pride, and there was no comparison! By the end of the second day, we decided that we are going back next year! The ship is huge but we never felt crowded. We used the restaurant guide on the TV to see what was crowded, only ran into crowds at elevators once or twice and just took steps to another deck. The staff was amiable and very helpful! They are such hard workers! Our cabin steward, Dale, always had a smile and was always available. We needed maintenance twice because we couldn't get the safe open and they were there in FIVE minutes. Room service was completely on time. We marveled at how the ship did not seem crowded although it was totally full. A balcony cabin on the ocean side was a must as we watched them dock this huge ship, enjoyed the almost eerie quiet as we sat in St Thomas harbor after dark, and saw sunrises and sunsets. Loved Johnny Rockets , 150 central Park, and Giovanni's table. We had lunch most days in the Solarium and enjoyed the idea of some healthy options. The Solarium was a delight because it was for adults and so very peaceful. We did not think the food was as good as Carnival but I wasn't there for the food and there certainly was plenty of choices. The excursions we took on St. Thomas and St. Martin were very much worth what they cost. We got to see the islands with some very informative tour guides and had time for our own exploration. All week we tried to find something wrong and couldn't. My only complaint was the smoking areas but I guess that is necessary and we just tried to avoid them. next year, we will be on the Oasis once again to continue our most wonderful adventure!!!!
