I have cruised a couple times in the past and each time I have raved to all of my family and friends how much fun it is. So as my family and I were planning this cruise i was excited to show them all that a Cruise can Offer. This was my first time traveling with Carnival and I had heard so many good things about it. So I was really excited to have a good time. However, that is not exactly what happened. I am not sure which Carnival Cruise Ship my friends traveled on, but I can bet without a doubt it wasn't Carnival Sensation. It was horrible! I don't even know where to start. Their Main Activities on the Ship Were "TRIVIA and BINGO." I think that Carnival Needs to either reconsider who they hire as a Cruise Director or come up with Better Activities with More Variety. I know that it was mainly adults on the ship but we aren't dead and we aren't in a nursing home. Older People Like to have fun and let loose every once in a while too. It was kind of disappointing. When it came down to the amenties on the Ship..such as the hot tubs and pool.. most were closed at around 10pm. In addition, the teenagers over ran the pool and hot tubs. i think this could have eliminated if more activities were provided for all age groups...I also wasn't impressed with the non-existant GOODBYE Party. It was like they were already ready for us to get off the ship the day before. The shows were less than thrilling, there was no involvement with cruisers other than trivia games. It was really a waste of money. Also, the food was mediocre. Not a lot of variety in their buffet line. I did see that they had other foods available but you didn't realize it until it was to late. They need to advertise more on which line has what instead assuming everyone knows. Its like they gave up on their customer service or meeting the needs of their cruisers. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS CRUISE SHIP TO ANYONE. Not because they didn't have more fun/party events for adults, but because they didn't have ANYTHING FOR ALL AGES. It was just like being at a hotel without the excitement of fun. I am very disappointed in the cruise and unfortunately I don't think i will ever risk my money to cruise on carnival again. Even after all the research I did prior, It wasn't enough. I am thankful we have this avenue to warn others that certain ships need to vamp up their methods or they will lose customers. I hope that carnival does contact me because I will be more than happy to pass on the disappointment I had with their cruise line.
