Getting There and Check-in

We flew into Vancouver on the morning of the cruise from our home city of Winnipeg in Canada. The flight was OK (it actually departed and arrived on time!), but what's special about flying these days, anyways? We picked up our luggage after a long delay (one of those uh-oh moments, did they lose our luggage?) but were on our way by 9:15 a.m. We arrived at Canada Place, checked our bags but it was too early to check in so we went across the street and grabbed a coffee. We returned to Canada Place about 10:15 and queued for the inevitable document check, security and check-in with US Customs & Border Protection. We seemed to go in spurts through the process, some were faster than others. After a quick check-in with a PCL agent, we were seated in the pre-boarding area for Elite Captain's Circle members. We were on board by 10:40 - nice.
