First time we have cruised on Celebrity, formerly cruised on NCL and Royal. Celebrity has those two lines beat for food quality, entertainment and service.

We took the train from Rome to the port, 16 euro versus 160 via a car. Checking in was well done and pretty quick. The ship is immaculate, well designed. The Cabin was also well designed, we are a family of 4 so the trundle bed was much better than the standard sofa bed as it left a lot more room in the cabin once the beds were made. We found the entertainment to be much better than the other cruises we have been on, strangely we also found that although the general population of the ship was much older than we are used to there was always a bar or two that was pretty active at night.

Food in the MDR, buffet and anywhere else on the ship was excellent, anyone who could complain about the food quality must be some major food snob. Read more
