Getting on and off the ship every time was amazingly quick. This was really a pleasant surprise.
Our goal was to relax on the ship, eat, sleep...and get off the ship each day for our Hawaii excursions...only returning for the evenings. And that's exactly what we did.
The food was okay. Breakfast was actually our favorite. The regulars (eggs, bacon, potatoes, etc) were always fresh and tasty. Also, plenty of fruit, oatmeal, granola, etc to choose from. We usually ate at the Aloha buffet and it was nothing fancy...but dependable. All the restaurants we ate at were fine... a few disappointments like there would be anytime you try a new restaurant. Though the Cadillac diner was not our favorite place to eat, they had serve yourself take-out coffee and hot chocolate available 24/7 and we took advantage of this several times.
Our cabin was small but always clean and really it was roomy enough. Our cabin steward was always cleaning it when we were away. We had a cabin with a balcony which was our favorite part. Sitting out on the balcony at night was very relaxing with a beautiful view of the ocean and the full moon. I might add that we were exactly mid-ship on the 8th deck right by the elevators which was extremely convenient to everything...and we were not bothered by the elevator traffic/noise.
