We have been on 6 other cruises and this was by far the most disappointing. The ship was dirty, the staff was generally unfriendly, the entertainment - other than the piano bar - was terrible, and in general it was a dead ship. There were few activities that really got people involved. That might be because of the many ports of call and only 3 sea days but it was less than expected.
The ports of call, however, were great and we got to see a tremendous amount of history. We made all our own off ship arrangements and if the ship sponsored excursions were anything like the balance of the cruise, we're glad we did.
We had anytime dining and the service was terrible - several nights could not get water refills, additional bread, or even hot coffee. The servers may have just had too many tables as several nights the head waiter had to get involved with various parts of the dining room to get people served.
Cabin was fine except for furnishings and general condition being quite shabby. Was disappointed that adjoining balcony could not be opened as we were traveling with friends - if we had checked more when booking we would have been able to fix this. Unless you like hot afternoon sun in most ports, choose the other side of the ship.
