This is our fourth cruise, all taken in the last 10 years, and our first on Royal Caribbean. It was also our first cruise out of Port Canaveral. We used to live in Florida, and basically will only return to board a cruise ship, and our first step off the plane at Orlando re-fortified that plan. Humid and hot at 9pm...

We rented a car from Enterprise and drove down to South Florida to visit some friends still stuck down there. TIP #1) Enterprise was cool in that we could rent in MCO and drop off in Port Canaveral at no extra charge. My relatives paid more for the shuttle than we did renting a full-sized car...

Arrival was easy- the Enterprise vans are always going back and forth. We arrived about 12:30, and despite the rush-hour lines we were in our cabin a little after 1pm. We checked our amazing cabin out and then hit the Windjammer for some lunch. The ship is huge and bewildering at first, but actually is very easy to get around in after you explore a bit. The one complaint about the ship's layout is that they could have included more elevators. Our cabin was on the 10th deck, under the deck where the Windjammer and pools are, so we weren't affected as much, but we used the stairs a lot to save time (and burn calories!).
