This was our 4th cruise on Celebrity (1 on Princess) and we continue to be extremely pleased with the cruise line. We were Aqua Class, which allowed us to eat in Blu and other amenities, which we enjoyed. The stateroom was a decent size (and larger than our room in Paris!) and spotlessly clean. Blu is the best. The service is delightful, the food just perfect and the setting feels intimate. We were pleased that we were allowed to dine at any time in Blu. The coffee there, as elsewhere on the ship, needs improving. We ate in the main dining room with friends a few nights, and that was quite good, but it did not compare to Blu.

The ports of call were excellent on this Baltic cruise. We arranged a number of private tours (finding GREAT people through Cruise Critic) and those worked out well. We definitely recommend SPB for Berlin and St. Petersburg. Sion in Berlin was probably the best tour guide we have ever had. We loved St. Petersburg. The sights are outstanding and we had great fun with our young traveling companions.

We are sorry that we did not take advantage of the concierge services. When we did not have a tour, we started our city visit with the very inadequate maps left in our stateroom. We heard that if you go to guest relations, they will provide you with better maps.

Also, at many stops, there is transport available into the city, which the ship does not inform you about until after you are underway (of course, they want you to take their outrageously priced tours). If you use the relatively inexpensive buses, you can wander around the city as you like.

We highly recommend this beautiful ship. Although it is large, it is manageable and the staff are superb. Check out the fun Martini Bar. All they need to do is upgrade the coffee and provide more information about ports of call. Otherwise, it was perfect. Kudos to the Eclipse.
