We traveled on the Carnival Legend from Aug 28th-Sept 4th with as a group of 16 (spread across 5 rooms). Our staterooms were 8257, 8253, 8248, 8252. This was our very first cruise and we were all very excited. I have mixed reviews about this carnival cruise.

FOOD

VERY DISAPPOINTING. To be fair, I'm a little picky but you'd have to have no expectations at all to be satisfied with the food. All included beverages were horrible. We had to water down the lemonade, ice tea and the apple juice in order to drink it. Drinking it straight is a sure way of getting diabetes!lol Try to bring as much of your own juices/sodas and waters as you can. I'll start off with breakfast. It seemed to be the same thing every day. The only good things were the omelets which is what I suggest you stick with. The bacon was always soggy and full of grease and the sausages were semi raw. We couldn't find one person on the ship that could make an egg over medium and it seemed like they couldn't even fully cook the scrambled eggs. Everything was tasteless, barely cooked and put together with no love. As to say hey, your meal is included so eat whatever slop we give you. Dinner was a little better but I never liked anything on the menu. Luckily you could speak with the maiter'd and they could cook you whatever you wanted in advance. So I placed my order for pasta the rest of the week and it was always good. The buffet meals and dinning meals are both the same but at least in the sit down dinner you get to enjoy the servers play, sing and dance. They truly make the dining experience worth it. Lunch was more of the same crap, dry, flavorless hamburgers and hotdogs. The French fries, grilled cheese (which is what I lived off of) and pizza were the best. Thankfully, the pizza was 24hrs a day. After the 2nd day most of us had stomach aches and were fighting for the bathrooms. REMEMBER TO BRING PEPTO, CHICLDREN'S PEPTO AND IMMODIUM AD, it will save your life.

Fridge barely kept things cool. Location near daily buffet, pools and elevator. TV was on the fritz but was corrected during our stay.
