Hi All,

Just got back from one of the last cruises on the Elation out of Mobile and we had the honor of being the first cruise to try out a new menu. Two things were readily obvious... first was that they had 'comfort fooded' up the main dining room menu and sadly de-fru-fru'd a lot of it. Fried chicken was available all the time, meatloaf was one night, pot roast and even believe it or not frog legs! I $hi7 you not. Secondly the 'SPA' menu had some changes to it as well and sadly the calorie count that used to be along side the items had been dropped. A welcome sight was sushi on the salad bar on Lido, so your late night craving had somewhere to go now. The blue book that would normally be in the cabin with the 'how-to's and the room service menu had been removed and replaced with a single non-nondescript piece of paper. The room service menu as well as the dining room menu are very brief now. They just say things like 'chocolate cake' instead of 'luscious, oooey, gooey chocolate cake'.

It 'seemed' that the number of staff across the ship and especially in the dining areas were reduced. The normally speedy dining room service was much slower and the time between courses was greatly increased... much less attentive too. Not uncommon to get a single glass of water or coffee with no refill and only one round of bread offered. This was for all meals in the dining room.
