On Sept 5-9, 2011 my wife, daughter, son and mother in law sailed on the NCL SkY out of Miami. We previously sailed on the SKY exactly 3 years ago. I have been on RCCL, Princess, Carnival and NCL previously, and this was the shortest of my 10 cruises.

Embarkation/Disembarkation: Very easy, we parked at the port for $20 a day. Check in friendly and easy. The lines were not too long at 12:30.

Cabin Review

5208 and 5209- Very quiet, well insulated, 149 square feet, comparable in size to other ships. Some mornings you could hear a (very muted thump)jogger up above, but jogging is not allowed from 9pm to 8 am. So call the front desk to stop them. These rooms are at the end of the hall, and there is a crew door next to 5209. This door remains closed. The crew goes through that door, but it is not frequent use. When you look at the ship map it appears the public bathrooms are right across from these rooms but really they are not- the access doors to these bathrooms is in the public hallway/atrium area, and the crew door remains closed which blocks off all the traffic /noise from the atrium area. So really you have a private hall, and a quieter one overall. And there really wasn't traffic in the public bathroom area so dont be concerned.
