Firstly our cabin steward was the best we have had - most helpful & considerate. The food WAS good & maybe my wife & I were lucky inasmuch that we were guests of the Captain at a "most cruised" lunch & we were really spoilt !

Plenty to do on this ship - the usual entertainment supervised excellently by Kelvin Joy with lectures & port talks as well. Plenty of swimming pools, gym & many facilities we never got to use or even see, there was much too much to be seen looking out to sea on this most attractive cruise. .The itinerary was great for us (we are both in our seventies)& were pleased (for once) to have pre booked two of the ships trips...one from Skagway on a train up the Yukon trail...fantastic scenery & commentary on the train. The town was good too. the other organised trip was to the Butchard Gardens in Victoria.....Lucky & yet unlucky with this as it is an evening trip. On Saturdays (this was) they stage a magnificent fireworks display - great - trouble was it left little time to see the floodlit gardens fully, but this was the only moan I can make about the entire cruise. Our morning cruise into Tracy Arm was astounding to see that Glacier was a definite highlight - we were unlucky as we didn't see much wild life this day - apart from a couple of seals "resting" on a floating iceberg (well a block of ice) & plenty of eagles. This was a great day. We did our own thing in Ketchigan by catching a service bus to the Totem pole park (Bight Park) which still left plenty of time to explore the town for incredible bargains. We also caught a local bus at Juneau to the visitor Centre at the Mendenhall Glacier...this a must. We did see whales on the way to Victoria & they put on a show for us sadly we didn't see bears anywhere but others did. We used anytime dining & experienced no problems at all - went 7-30 ish every night & were served straight away. The food was so good that despite our plans to celebrate my birthday in a speciality restaurant we saw no need to move from the Santa Fe - anyway they gave me a good night there.

Great ship super crew throughout. embarking & disembarking was so simple. We always will look for a Princess cruise.
