We sailed on the Carnival Dream for the first time on September 3, 2011 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The ship was immaculate. They were constantly cleaning. There were hand sanitizer dispensers all over the ship. We tried every available buffet (not all at once though!). The hot dog and hamburger station, 24hr pizza station (various types), american food station, pasta station, sandwich/panini station, mongolian station, and the dessert station were all awesome. We especially loved the pasta and sandwich station. Again, these stations were all immaculate.
The cruise director Butch was probably the best cruise director we have ever had in our many years of cruising. He was friendly and interacted with everyone thoughout the day. It was very obvious he enjoys what he does.
The shining star, in our opinion, was Sam's Piano Bar. With Dave behind the piano from 9:30pm to 1:30pm (he actually stayed later just because he was having so much fun)we had an amazing night each and every night of our seven day cruise. Dave had a microphone set up for anyone that wanted to join him or just sing it solo. My wife asked him to play a song that he didn't know and he actually went and found the song and worked it out and had it ready to play for her the next day! If you miss this you miss the most fun you could have on the ship. Grab a drink and sing along with him. The bar fills up late and the party atmosphere get more energetic every night as the word gets out.
