My husband and I chose this cruise because we really wanted to go to Bermuda, and this is the itinerary that gives you the most time in Bermuda, and doesn't go to Dockyard (we really wanted to go to Hamilton). We'd only cruised with Royal Caribbean before (and loved it), but were fine with giving another cruise line, especially one with as good a reputation as HAL, a try.

Boarding was not a problem in NYC and we were really happy with our room, a Lanai room that we'd decided to upgrade to at the last minute. The room was definitely a plus on the cruise. The public areas on the boat were nice, it's not a huge ship, but we weren't expecting that.

The Lido pool area is nice, but WAY too few lounge chairs. Like, it's almost a joke. 50, maybe? The Retreat area has more lounge chairs, but if you're a pool person, you need to walk through the Lido dining area to get back from the Retreat to there, and you wouldn't want to leave your stuff unattended so far away. The bars/lounges were nice, again, what we were used to on other boats.
