The embarkation process at Charleston was very easy. Traffic is handled efficiently and transfer from the parking lot to the terminal is quick and simple.
All of the staff on the ship were very helpful and friendly for the entire cruise.
The menu for casual dining has been significantly downgraded since our last Carnival cruise in May 2010. They served exactly the same menu for lunch 3 out of 5 days: Baked cod (barely edible, when you need a knife to cut a fish fillet there is a problem), Yankee Pot Roast (actually not bad), Fried chicken (over cooked) and mashed potatoes. They also had the usual cheeseburgers, hot dogs, etc... The Mongolian grill is a nice touch and was very good. The salad bar also has a good variety and is quite good.
We were upgraded to the owners suite. The room is spectacular, walk in closets, nice living room, dining room, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pool. Late night partying on the Lido deck can be annoying, but overall not a real problem
