We cruised from New Orleans to Cozumel, ran into Tropical Storm Lee going and caught it coming back. We departed late about 2hrs and we were to return 8am Monday morning, but Sunday night they closed the Mississippi River due to Lee so we didn't return until 5pm Monday. This is in no way Carnival's fought, i guess you kind of roll the dice when you cruise during hurricane season. Lets see, first food...ummm it was just OK nothing to brag about there was a lot of food, just not season well enough for me(but hey I'm a southern girl i like my food highly season and spicy) i pretty much ate pizza, burgers and hot dogs and ice cream cones.Rooms... we slept 4 to a room, probably won't do this again...it was fine for me b/c i was on the bottom, but for those who were up top they had it a bad, i think they got tired of it by day two. The rooms were very clean, bathroom was bigger than i though it was going to be, i always saw people cleaning so that was a plus. Dinning...we were tucked away in a little booth not bad it was OK...food was just OK, nothing to brag about again...you won't starve on these cruises but it was just not the best. We ended up having lots of sun, fun and drinks and drinks and oh yeah drinks in Cozumel, lot of cool little things to buy and spend your money on, cheap cheap spirits there...i would give it maybe 3 stars, i would cruise carnival again maybe not during hurricane season...
Cabin 1052 Triumph...2 up top, 2 underneath...we had 4 women in this room, with 4 large suitcases... was small but manageable.
