This was our second cruise with Carnival but not the last. The first was on Triumph a much larger ship then Sensation. But I think we actually enjoyed the Sensation more.

EMBARKATION: This was the inaugural cruise from New Orleans for Sensation and frankly I expected some delays and problems. Pleasantly surprised that all went smoothly and quickly. Our group of 2 couples arrived at the terminal at 10:00 and were on board at 11:10 with all the processing done and photos taken.

SHIP EXPERIENCE: Sensation is 40,000 tons smaller then Triumph but it feels like there is more room. Never felt the crush of crowds. We found the ship to be clean most of the time the exception being around 8:00 p.m. on the Lido deck when there was few crew assigned there at that time. Our cabin was always clean and our steward was friendly and always greeted us with a smile. The remainder of contacts with various crew found them to be pleasant and helpful. All told we found the Sensation to be a very enjoyable ship to be on.
