What can we say? We loved it! We had a great time - the service was everything we could have expected (and we have stayed in some fabulous hotels and have very high expectations!), the ship was spotlessly clean despite some other reviewers commenting on the need for a refit. While there were very odd spots that possibly could have done with touching up, it wasn't an issue and certainly nothing to comment on for us.

We did our own thing at every port and to be honest, it was much easier and cheaper than the tours organised by the ship - our advice: find the train station and go local! We managed to see Monte Carlo and Nice, Pisa and Palermo and the most expensive was the train to Pisa which was 27 Euro for 2 returns. The trains were really easy to negotiate - there were loads of other people from our ship, with prams and older (possibly less mobile) people, and they all agreed it was much better to go alone!

We took the drinks packages as well - we worked out that the most expensive package was working out as the equivalent of 2 G&Ts and 2 glasses of wine each day, and we'd definitely drink more than that each day on our holidays! It meant that we could have a glass of wine at dinner and maybe even the odd sneaky strawberry daiquiri!
