Boarding was excellent, quick and efficient. As we boarded at 11.30 and cabins were not available until 2pm we decided to do a tour of the ship. Adventure is clean and well looked after, but is in desperate need of a refit. Some of the furniture and fixtures are tired, especially in the main restaurants. Our two cabins on deck 7 were lovely, no complaints at all. The main problems we experienced were due to the fact that everything on the ship is aimed at pleasing the Spanish guests. We knew, that sailing from Malaga would mean that the majority of guests would be Spanish, but we really felt like we were gatecrashing a summer fiesta! We ate on second sitting, and were never in the restaurant before 9.45pm. We were told that as Spanish people enjoy eating late, first sitting had been extended to allow guests to enter between 6.45 and 7.45! We received no food before 10pm. Food in the restaurant was average at best. We never got into the swimming pool as Spanish guests stand and chat in it. Same with Jacuzzis. If we were not on deck by 9am,it was impossible to find an empty sunbed.Very loud music played all day around the pools and in the windjammer buffet restaurant. Another major, major issue is smoking. There were cigarette butts all over the ship. Designated areas? supposed to be, but they were ignored.I have been led to believe by other cruise lines that smoking on ships is dangerous. Poor show Royal Caribbean, poor show. English guests beware, this ship is really Butlins at Sea for the Spanish. My advice would be to consider this very carefully before you book.

Cabin Review

Cabin
E2 Balcony cabin on deck seven. No complaints. Compact certainly, but well designed. Very comfortable bed.
