I read a lot of reviews on here before sailing, so decided to write one after our cruise.

Sailed on the Carnival Fantasy on Aug 20th out of Charleston. Let me say the parking situation is pretty confusing, as others had advised. You need to end up near the aquarium and then there are some signs that say CRUISE to follow. We were kept in our cars on the street until about 11:15 before we could get through the gate and start to follow the parking process. Then you pay and drop luggage and then drive across the street to an indoor WH and take a shuttle to the terminal, a short ride. Once inside, that part was simple. Went for lunch in the Lido restaurant and then explored the ship.

Overall found the staff very friendly and attentive, and dining room staff and room steward called us by name. We did not encounter a single rude employee--everyone gave excellent service. The ship was in very good condition from remodel and looked very new and clean. Especially liked the promenade level with its roman style decor and many comfortable chairs. The shows were good and the food was good and of course plentiful. Most nights the dining room had good choices, and we ate breakfast and lunch in the casual lido restaurant. We did the waterslides, putt putt and bingo and trivia quizzes to keep the kids busy. The pool gets very crowded. We were able to get lounge chairs on sea days.
