Like many who travel to Alaska,it was a life long dream for all three of us to travel there. we all sailed on eclipse last year and fell in love with celebrity cruising. We knew that the century is the oldest in the celebrity fleet, but felt that the destination was the most inportant thing about our holiday. Having booked a Royal Suite we were certainly not disappointed with our accommadation or the ship. the staff were in general excellent, with the exception of a couple of employees who were not forthcoming in the customer friendly department. The Murano Restaurant was as good as on the eclipse, but we were sadly disapointed with the main dining room, the meals were often not very appealing, and for the first time ever on a cruise I had to send food back, all of which I must say were dealt with in a totally professional way. There was a certain amount of disappointment also in the on board shops, again I think eclipse spoilt us,not enough shops or choice in the ones available, The suite was enormous and very well appointed with an excellent balcony. although the shower did smell musty all the time.

Alaska lived up to our dreams totally, the hubbard glacier was so overwhelming we did not want to leave,and the alaska specialist was top notch.we saw humpback whales breaching from the ship, but we also went on a whale watching trip which I thoroughly encourage anyone to do. the weather was not as bad as we thought it would be but the glacier was very cold and ketchiken was very, very wet. A long way to trave but umissable. so very pleased to have been lucky enough to have seen such wonderful sights,
