Sail Date: Jun 2011
Cabin: Interior with French Door (obstructed views)

Previous cruises have been to warm weather locations. It was a little different planning for cooler weather when packing for a cruise. The views and excursions were spectacular. I would definitely go for a balcony room for this cruise. We had exterior French doors with obstructed view. We were fortunate to be traveling with friends who had an extended balcony room. It was cold and rainy the day we sailed the Tracy Arm Fjord. This day was spent on our friends balcony. With layering our clothes we were comfortable and were able to see some amazing scenery.

A Skagway we rode a bus to Carcross Canada and rode the train back. Though a little pricey, it was well worth it. I would recommend the train excursion to everyone.

At Juneau we went whale watching. This was a very good excursion and we were able to see whales. The naturalist on board the ship said he whales are more active in July so when we return in 2014 we will go in July.

Cabin Review

Interior with French Door (obstructed views)

Cabin 4K

Exterior room for interior rate with French doors. Pulled back curtain and view was directly in center of a lifeboat. One door opened allowing for fresh air. This was pleasant on the Alaska cruise as it was cool. This would not be of any advantage on a warm weather cruise.
