Our cruise was sort of a family reunion. Total of 16 people (10 adults and 6 kids) went on this trip. This was our 3rd cruise and first with Royal Caribbean. We had family in Ft. Lauderdale and stayed with them pre-cruise. We went in 2 cars and a taxi. Parked the cars in cruise terminal. All that was very convenient. Check-in was a breeze. Check-in was very quick compared to our previous cruises at New York and Galveston. Got on the ship by 1pm and headed straight to windjammer for lunch. Lunch selections were good.
We went around the ship and had the drill at 4pm. Then sailed at around 5pm. Ship was maintained well, but you can see the age. Our bathroom had some drain issues but were fixed promptly. Our room attendant was OK.
We picked 8.30 dining and the service in dining room is excellent. We had Gresan as our waiter and Maurice is his assistant. Both of them were very good. Our head waiter is also very good. Dining selections were good too. Lamb shank and Roasted Duck were really good.
