Just back from a seven day Norwegian cruise out of Dover. Just a small bit about ourselves, we are a married couple one 31 years of age and the second is 30 years of age. This was our fourth cruise and our first with Holland America. The three previous were two with NCL (Dream and Pearl) and one with RCCL (Independence of the Sea). This is my first review, a bit long so here goes.

We took the cruise companies transfer from Heathrow to Dover. We were met outside arrivals and shown to a waiting area the HAL representative informed us there would be a wait of about an hour this didn't bother us. After about an hour's wait we boarded our bus for Dover with a stop at terminal five to pick up a few more people.

We arrived at Dover port at about 12 midday, from the exit of the bus to the gang -way it took about 15 minutes. This was the fastest time it took us in our four cruises. When we boarded the Ryndam we went straight to our cabin to drop off our hand luggage. This was our first time experiencing our state-room being ready when we boarded. The last three we had to wait for an announcement to tell us that our state-room was ready. We then went to the lido for our lunch.
