This was our first cruise, but not our first time to Hawaii. So I am writing this for other first time cruisers. We had an outside cabin on deck 4, mainly because my wife was concerned about becoming seasick and wanted to stay on the lowest deck mid-ship. However my wife never needed her scopolamine patch and only needed some meclizine. After reading all of the comments about the room size we actually found our room to be OK for the four of us. Plenty of room under the beds for 4 average sized suitcases. Only 4 small drawers for clothes but a good sized closet. We thought that the cabin with a window made it look bigger compared to an inside cabin. Our cabin was not much smaller then a cabin on deck 11, but that deck 11 cabin had a balcony that was half the size of our cabin. Bring door hanger hooks to hang wet towels or other items if you have more then 2 people in the cabin. For electrical outlets there are 2 single outlets on the desk, one near the small refrigerator (a "mini-bar" filled with items you have to pay for) and one unused one behind the TV. If you have a charger without a cord you may want to bring a short extension cord to plug into. The shower is small, about the same size as a small RV shower. There is no bar soap, but instead they have liquid soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower, and a liquid soap dispenser at the sink. We went with a large group of people and it appeared that the cabin stewards were better for the higher priced cabins. We only got one towel animal during our stay. Ice is available from the cabin stewards, and they had red coolers in the hallways with ice at times. The cabins on deck 7 have a higher ceiling so the bunk beds are a little farther apart, more room for the person on the bottom to sit up.

You need to watch the ship's channel on the TV for a lot of the info about what is going on. They do have a daily newsletter for each room but we never got our first day's newsletter. Wish they had a book or folder with a lot of the info like hotels do.

The Muster Drill, where you report to the location of your life boat, was late afternoon on the first day. You do not have to wear a life jacket, or bring one with you. You just have to stand there and listen to the information for about 20 minutes.

Quiet location, good location for getting on and off the ship at ports. Large window but not floor to ceiling. Beds were comfortable.
