First NCL cruise 11/2010 and it was on Epic, with 8 year old grandson along. The water park has something for everyone and kids will not want to leave. Entertainment is exceptional and the mutiple small theater venue, versus one big theater offers an improved experience. Selection of dining, both included and extra charge is terrific. Must try is the sushi bar for lunch. As far as the two main dining areas, Manhattan Room and Taste, opt for taste if you like a quiter relaxing dinner. Manhattan Room has entertainment that can be a liitle noisy for dinner. Must see is Blue Man Group. Must do is the water slides-at any age. The unique room design (ours was a balcony stateroom),is perhaps not for everyone. Takes getting used to. If you go, get a balcony with the sofa closest to the door and bed closest to the balcony. Closet space is adequate, but under sofa storage space is difficult to utilize effectively. Great daytime activities and music (especially around pool area. Pools are very snall, but since everyone is on the water slide, they seem to be adequate. With 4000+ guests, you do not find long lines or crowds that you would expect. Ship flows well and is designed to move traffic. Get lots of pictures taken and consider doing the cruise book option available in the photo area. A great ship for adults and kids alike. As much as we like the experience of different ships and cruise lines, Epic will always be a consideration for future cruising.
cabin 13039. Excellent location. Lose to elevators and walkways. Just down the haul from the bridge viewing room, which is a very interesting place to spend a few minutes. Convenient access to everything.
