US: My wife and I are 41 and our daughter is 13. We previously cruised on the Norwegian Spirit, The Caribbean Princess and Carnival Pride.

Ship: Freedom of the Seas

Voyage: 7/10/2011 to 7/17/2011 Western Caribbean

Stateroom: 1610 (Superior balcony)

The itinerary: Labadie, Haiti; Falmouth, Jamaica; Georgetown, Caiman Islands; Cozumel, Mexico. It felt good to be on Haitian soil!

Embarkation/debarkation: Remarkably easy!

The ship: Very impressive, tastefully appointed, huge, very steady, beautiful, lots to do!

The food: Very good in the Windjammer cafe and the pizzeria. However it was average in the (Galileo) dining room. We did not try the specialty restaurants. The choices for room services were better and more numerous than any of the ships we have been on.

The shore excursions: Very nice; lots of choices; the usual stuff! ?

The service: Impeccable! Many thanks to our waiter Sheldon, our stateroom attendant Giovanella and the lady from the Connoisseur's Club, and the staff of the Guests Services desk (Especially Idi)

We'd planned to fly to Orlando from Baltimore (BWI) on Friday 7/8/2011; however our fight was canceled due to inclement weather. We were lucky enough to book a flight for the next day in the afternoon. We were told by an airline rep that we would not be able to recover out luggage at BWI, but that our suitcases would be waiting for us in Orlando. When our luggage was delivered to our stateroom, we realized that most of our items were water damaged. Apparently, the airline's baggage handlers negligently left our things exposed to the elements. The guest relations staff granted us a laundry voucher that allowed us to wash and press our clothes free of charge. We are very grateful, and quite impressed with their professionalism and customer service. While we would like to try Cunard, Celebrity and Holland America Lines, I believe we have found or favorite cruise line!

Greatest cruise ever!

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony
Cabin D3 1610
Cabin 1610 can be a bit noisy. We could hear chairs being dragged, people running up the stairs and the bands playing on the pool deck.
Deck 8 Inside Cabins, Outside Cabins, Balcony Cabins, Suite Cabins
