Awesome cruise for the price

Sail Date: July 2011
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami
Take reviews for what they are. There are 2 types of people that leave reviews. The ones' that had a great time and ones' that had a horrible time. Rest assured this is an honest review. If you are looking for an affordable cruise than this is a good one.

1. Is the food the best of all cruises? No, but if you are not a food snob than you will enjoy the menu. The servers were friendly and prompt when asked for something and entertained the guest every night with a little show. Buffet is average and lines can get long at prime eating times. Different style cuisine everyday and several items to choose from. If your looking for filet mignon everyday than you'll be disappointed.

2. Is the entertainment the best? If your looking for Broadway quality shows, I suggest paying double the price and cruise with Disney. They are the one's known for spectacular shows. Will you be entertained? Absolutely. You get out of a cruise what you put into it. There is also something to do More and the schedule is set to give plenty of time to get there. I've been on cruises where it seems you have to run to get to the next show.

3. Is the ship the nicest I've been on? Nope, but for a ship that is over 15 yrs. old, it is in very good shape. The crew was constantly cleaning, painting and polishing everything. Housekeepers were the best. Very friendly and super quick to get room cleaned everyday. Always asking if everything was ok. Double Thumbs up to the crew. They work their tails off to try and make people happy.

Our 8 yr old daughter really enjoyed the kids club. When we sailed with Disney it was hard to get her to stay. This time, it was hard to get her to leave. So that should tell you something about their involvement with the kids. She also really enjoyed the pools and water slide as well. Yes, it is crowded on days at sea, but makes for great people watching.

So this is my closing thought. I read alot about the complaints of the food, the entertainment, the price of drinks, etc. Like I said before, if you are looking for an affordable cruise or a fist time cruise, this one is a good one. If you are a food snob or looking for Broadway shows then go pay $1500 a person and get it. Don't go affordable then complain the whole time. If your upset about $5.75 for 16oz beer or $7.25 for a mixed drink. Go to a ballgame and pay $9.00 for a beer in a plastic bottle.

My best advice is to take reviews for what they are. Everyone has an opinoin, and they are usually one-sided. Less
