This is going to sound like a rant, but i want you to get the real picture of the Dawn and NCL I love the ocean and paid extra for a balcony however, there was construction banging and sawing beginning at 8 a.m. every day. Forget about lounging on the balcony with a book. The service staff, while very nice and polite, did not speak English very well which was a problem at times. The fee for dining restaurants were odd - why would you want to pay another $25 p.p.to have dinner? This just gave them the excuse to offer crap at the buffets which were disappointing and more like cafeteria food -yuck. The pool is small and crowded. No place to sit and read a book as there are constant band and dance events to encourage drinking and spending more money. The shops inboard all sell crap - embarrassing! I guess some people like that stuff but not me. Overall, entertainment was goofy and activities uninteresting. Even the dumb magician was hocking his magic trick CDs!Bermuda was OK, but we didn't have much time in port and the only things you could really takepart inwere those sponsored by, yes, you guessed it, NCL. I wish I had rented a beach cottage instead - it would have been more enjoyable and less expensive.
