After having been on cruise with Royal Caribbean before we were looking forward to the same quality of service.Unfortunately although the ship and all the facilities on board were excellent the prices for everything else were extortionate. We had wine in restaurant one evening a bottle of red costing $28 and a bottle of white $42 dollars plus some water. We thought the prices were high but when we received the bill 15% service charge had been added bring the cost to $90! Another example is when you want to get into town at a port. There is no information about local facilities just RCI's shuttle service which typically cost $14 or more.Although the many photographers are mildly annoying we decided to have some formal photos taken, however when we went to buy them they couldn't find them and it was too late to have them retaken.I do think although the standard of the ship and facilities is still good there is an overwhelming feeling that RCI are trying sell you overpriced items at every opportunity. We were planning to use RCI for a trip to China and the Far East but have decide to go with Princess Cruises instead.
