We initially booked the Fascination because the dates June 30-July 4 worked well with a rental we had previously booked for Disney. We figured we throw the cruise in to give the kids 15, 15, 9 a sampling for a longer cruise we are planning next year.

It was well worth the trip. Carnival has hit is mark with this 4 day getaway. The ship is older and much smaller than their newer ships and needs 1 more pool but offers a great variety for 1st time cruisers with families. the waterworks was a big hit and since we travelled with another family with same aged kids, the adults had peace and quiet while on board. Food was plentiful and good. the kids loved the freedom of the buffet while we dined in the main dining room. Didn't understand the need formal night for such a short cruise but they let us in the main dining hall even though we were not formally dressed. anytime dining is the way to go. never waited no more than 5 minutes for a table and the 1 night we did eat together they seated all 10 of us without any question. The comedians were funny both in their PG and R shows and the entertainment shows were OK too. Casino was good too.

Carnival changed the itinerary so we had our day at sea on Friday which was great. In Nassau, I booked rooms at the Comfort Suites to gain access to the Atlantis - saved $600 over the excursion cost!!! as the group and gave us a place to change before heading back. Cab was $50 each way and readily available.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

V21 - considered obstructed but is not. A great value. Excellent location to the Lido and sun decks. Good bedding, ample closet space, very quiet. Fits 2 adults, 1 child comfortably. Balcony is tight but nice to have. VIP boarding and disembarking which is great to have.
