We just returned from our Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Freedom (June 18-26). It was fantastic from beginning to end. We had sailed this itinerary before, but wanted to return to Antigua and Tortola. We love the Panorama deck and the convenience it provides to the Serenity adults only area of the ship. We were only two flights of steps from the deck to the cabin. Even though I thought the decor was rather tacky, the ship was immaculately clean and everyone was so friendly. We met a lot of nice people and gracious crew members. While in Antigua, we sailed on a catamaran completely around the island and visited a private beach. Antigua has 365 beaches and we saw them all. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Outstanding! The next day in Tortola, our excursion took us to the Long Bay Beach Resort. It was gorgeous with postcard views. To our surprise, we were also taken on an island tour on the way back to the ship. I highly recommend both of these excursions. When we return to these islands, we will definitely book them again. The rest of the cruise was also great. The only negative was the power to the entire ship going off momentarily the night before we arrived back in Ft. Lauderdale. It is really dark when the power goes off! Due to the power problem, the ship had to travel at a slower speed causing us to arrive back in port late. This created a delay in debarkation. This was minor after a wonderful week of cruising.
Great balcony view from the Panorama deck. Cabin 1059 is close to the steps for quick access to the Serenity deck and ship spa. It is also only a few quick steps to the pool area. Love the convenience of this cabin. We have had it on our last two Carnival cruises.
