Having read some of the reviews we cannot believe we were on the same ship!! Whilst we agree that Embarkation/Disembarkation at Southampton was extremely efficient and welcoming. Our cabin in concierge class was adequate and the service received from Marcelle and his team excellent - that is as far as we can go on compliments. We would however like to point out one area where you could be sure of outstanding service, fun and friendly faces was in the Martini Bar - the staff of which did not fail to entertain us.

We found the opening times of the Moonlight Sonata restrictive and the tables far too close together. Because of the limited opening times i.e. 1 - 1.5 hours at breakfast and lunch and at ridiculous times - we were forced to serve ourselves in the Oceanview cafe. Forgive me but if we had wanted a self service holiday we could have gone to Butlins for far less than we paid for our luxury 5 star cruise! To get a cup of coffee poured at table or to find a clean empty table was challenging to say the least.

On the whole we found the waiting staff to be very off-hand and rushed to take your order before you had even opened the menu. Then proceeded at break neck speed to get you out of the restaurant as quickly as possible.
