Supposedly, this was the final 8 night southern Caribbean cruise to be offered by RCCL on the Serenade of the Seas. They will continue with mostly 7 night itineraries. I'm in my late 40s and love to cruise. My girlfriend is on her late 30s and isn't a big cruise fan.

Pre-Embarkation: We stayed at the Hotel Milano in Old San Juan. I rated our room 3 stars and I completed a comprehensive review of our stay at that hotel on a website that acts as sort of trip advisor. If you happen to find it somehow, my review is dated 5-18-11 and is entitled, "My feelings about Hotel Milano are mixed."

Embarkation: Reasonably smooth, but not perfect. They gave me someone else's room keys, so I'm glad I caught it before I got far from the desk. Could have been a bit quicker, but not bad. Smuggled sodas and booze in without difficulty.

Standard inside room. 4th deck, mid-ship. Perfectly quiet and perfectly fine, although we did have problems with the shower's water temperature.
