We began planning this cruise at least a year ago. We have had a cruise to Alaska on our bucket list for years. I'm turning 60 this year plus we are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. One more big reason to celebrate... I am a recent breast cancer survivor! Not that we needed reasons for a cruise but life gets busy as you know! My DH is a retired military officer and has travelled all over. He now says that this trip was definitely in his top 2 or 3 ever!!!!
First let me thank Cruise Critic members and the whole site for helping me plan this fantastic trip. The member reviews and boards were a tremendous help! I researched for hours and hours and was able to plan the best trip possible from start to finish. I can't say enough about all the tips I gathered on this site!
Let me start with our pre-cruise time in Seattle. We spent two nights there and enjoyed it very much. I used Hotline and got a room at the Renaissance which we were very happy with. We were able to walk to the Westlake Center to take the tram to the Space Needle. We had reservations for lunch and that was a wonderful way to enjoy the Space Needle!
Cabin was just fine for us. We were impressed with the amount of storage space in the way of closet, shelves and drawers. We were able to unpack everything and have places for all of our things.
We loved our balcony and our cabin was in a quiet location.
Had heard complaints about the bathroom space but for us it was fine. We're used to RV's so we were satisfied. The suggestion of the over the door shoe holder was great. Recommend to everyone that one!
Our steward was outstanding. Took great care of us and we had everything we needed and more!
