Our embarkation on June 18 on the Oasis could not have been better in celebration of our 25th Anniversary as the check-in agent told us we had been upgraded to a Grand Suite (from D1). As a Diamond member and 16 cruises we had never been upgraded. Thank you so much Royal Caribbean!

GRAND SUITE: With a cabin twice the size of a D1, double sinks, large closet, enough drawer space for four people - how can one complain!

SERVICE: The best dining room service we have seen in many years. Both Suraj (waiter) and Daniel (Asst. Waiter) were the best we had seen in a long time. Room steward was excellent.

FOOD: Generally good in the MDR but quality has not returned from the old days. Windjammer is a problem for lunch on embarkation day and busy on days in port for breakfast. Food variety for lunch was sometimes better than for dinner. Roast beef sandwich at Park Cafe was good but the juice poured on our sandwiches was salty tasting. Went to Chops on our Anniversary and we had the the best beef since Shula's Steakhouse. Don't order the strip steak as advised by our waiter. Fillet and Porterhouse were tender and flavorful.

Donut place is terrible - donuts are better in Windjammer.

ENTERTAINMENT: A little disappointing overall. Aqua show is good and recommended. If you have seen the Broadway or road company version of Hairspray the production on Oasis falls way short. Aerial show is OK but again not great. The Headliner show of two comedians (Bud Abbot and Lou Costello wannabees) was bad. The comedians were good but x-rated. Missed the ice show but heard it was good.

DEBARK: Very quick. If you can take advantage of the $20. luggage service as it is a great stress reliever not to have to worry about going through customs and checking it in at the airport.
