One of the best cruise port, lots to see and do at a reasonable cost. Port very close to the centre and the Ramblas. Beware pick pockets in this fine city. 




Barcelona

Nice for a half day walking around or a visit to Nice 


Monaco (Monte Carlo)

The eternal city. A visit to Rome from the port is easy by train either to the Vatican or Rome itself. Plenty to see and do. Would take 3 days even to scratch the surface. 9 euros from the port to Rome by train and includes underground pass in Rome. Station 400 yards from port gates where the free shuttle drops you. 


Rome (Civitavecchia)

Nice for a half day look around, very pretty. 


Dubrovnik

Lots of great things to do outide the city. Sorrento, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Capri. 


Naples

The best cruise port in the world easy to walk to the centre and then let the waterbuses do the rest. Tip buy a waterbus pass for 12, 24 or 36 hours. 


Venice

We travelled to the ship independently and stayed in Barcelona for 1 night pre trip and 3 nights after which worked very well.I have split the review into 4 sections for clarity:
