Brilliance of the Seas Cruise Review by whizzo
- Sail Date: June 2011
- Destination: Western Mediterranean
Whilst the service was excellent the food quality was only satisfactory and the standard of the presentation left much to be desired.
Dumping the mest or fish on top of the vegetables was an unattractive feature and in the main the taste was bland.
Whilst the Captain make an annoucement of the ship's passage, the failure of the bridge to point out places of interest as we passed them at sea was another shortcoming. Simple announcemnts such as ..."the volcanic island of Stromboli is visible off the starboard side..." would have added interest.
The warnings about the dreaded Novo virus didn't inspire confidence in the overall hygiene....
The entertainment was good but I wish the singers would try singing instead of shouting so much, and why do they pipe music everywhere? especially at breakfast when quite frankly nobody was listening and if they wanted to, they could not hear the tunes over the background chatter!
