On day 1 we complained to the front desk about the noise issues. We immediately went to the front desk and requested a cabin change. We were told the ship was full. Frankly, I find this hard to believe.
The first noise issue was the incredible noise coming from the Garden Cafe primarily from food carts rolling across the floor. It sounded as if we were below a bowling alley. This rolling noise started around 5:30 AM and continued until at least 11:30 PM every night. The noise also came from carts used to setup and break down for The Grill eating area and the poolside BBQ in the pool area as well. Another source of noise was from the children running up and down the halls and literally jumping off the srairs to the landings. We never heard any announcements made asking the 800 + kids to stop running in hallways. Actually, it should have been addressed to the parents. There was never anything in the daily Freestyle bulletin either.
Anither source of noise was from the cabin doors slamming shut. Even though the cabin doors have automatic closers, it seems they are either broken or have never been maintained. When the other cabin doors slam there is a vacuum effect and it makes the nearby doors rattle as well as make a huge amount of noise. We actually had our door closer fixed so that it wouldn't slam shut. Dangerous too.
VERY noisy due to food carts rolling across floor above all day long from pre-breakfast until late at night. Small mini refrigerator for price. Only 1 chair on balcony reclines. Smoking is allowed by passengers on balconies forcing non-smokers to endure second hand smoke.
