We just got back from a 5 day, 4 night cruise on the Majesty of the Seas out of Miami. My husband and I cruised together and this would be our 6th cruise. Our last cruise, our hands down favorite, was the Carnival Destiny last September out of Miami so we thought another short cruise would be just what the doctor ordered but we were mistaken.

First, Royal Carribean has the embarkation & debarkation process down to a science. Each process took 30-40 minutes tops. Royal still uses real people for check-in which expedites things immensely where Carnival has the self serve kiosks which take forever.

Once on-board we had lunch at the windammer. Nothing special here. Hot food was never hot and cold food was never cold. The salad bar was enemic and the salad dressing signs were always mixed up so hopefully you can identify your favorite on sight. Carving meats were tough and unlike Carnival you cannot just get a hamburger, hotdog, french fries, chicken tenders etc. because they are only offered for a cost at Johnny Rockets. Desserts were pretty but tasted terrible. Overall pretty disappointing.
