Cruised the Pride with 15 family members (ages 8-89) from June 12-19, 2011. We were very happy with the cruise, weather was perfect and the water was like glass! Here is a "brief" review of our week.

Sunday - Got to the Port at 10:30. By 11:10 we had dropped off our luggage, checked in and were seated in the terminal. We were Zone 7. It cost us $105 to park for the week. Very weird set up to pay for parking. 3 ladies sitting in a vehicle collecting payment. Last time we cruised from Baltimore there was a "stand" to pay at. Please note...once you enter the terminal you are NOT allowed to use your cellphone! The workers were VERY diligent in carrying out that rule! VIP passengers began to board at 11:45 followed by Zone 1 passengers at 11:50. We boarded at noon (zone 7) and were eating by 12:15! Rooms were ready at 2:10! Muster drill (painless) at 3:30 and it took 10 min. We sailed at 4:15. Had dinner (anytime dining) at 5:45 and since we had 15 in our party we were split into 2 different groups but our tables were right beside one another which we appreciated. Had very good service each night and food was served warm to hot each night. Dinner varied between 1 hr. 45 min and 2 hrs. 15 min. We thought the food was very good. Went to the Trivia game and the Welcome Aboard Show that evening. Got some pizza afterwards and headed to bed at midnight. Good first day!

Monday - Sunny and 75 degrees. Asked for our dividers to be taken down as soon as we got on board and all 5 of the dividers were taken down at approx. 9:00 this morning. It made for a GREAT BIG deck! GREAT!!! Spent the day touring the ship, laying out and exercising (tried to walk 4-6 miles a day). Most of our days were spent this same way. This was Lobster night and it didn't disappoint! It was also elegant night and most of our party wore long dresses and suits. Some people in the dining room choose not to dress up and I know that upsets some people but it didn't bother us. "To each his own"! The clothing in the dining room left alot to be desired on some nights! Carnival clearly does NOT enforce their appropriate dress policy. We actually saw a family wear sweatpants (camo!) and flipflops a couple nights. Like I said...didn't bother us...food still tasted the same but I think that was a bit too casual! lol! Went to see the "Wonderful World Show"....very good. Bed about midnight.
