We did the Bike & Hike tour, it was good and they tell you alot about the local flora and fauna. I recommend you can just rent bikes for $25 and ride on your own if you want, there is a main road that leaves the city along the coast, goes up to Whale Park (didn't see any whales, it is a scenic overlook) It is a hilly road along basically a highway with wide shoulders. Or you can walk to the raptor center, and walk through the park that has the totem poles, all within walking distance of the port. We went to the museum that is in the library. Take a look at the house on the point that you can see from the library, we saw about 8 eagles nesting there and flying all around. 


Sitka

Next day Ketchikan, we walked to the fish hatchery, it's a nice walk, and we paid the $15 to get a tour of the hatchery and go to the totem pole museum next door. Lots of shopping in Ketchikan (touristy). 


Ketchikan

Go up the Mt. Roberts Tram, hike around, visit the gift shop, watch the movie in the theater, we also caught a singing group that was there that day in the theater. Then take the $8 bus to Mendenhall Glacier (we had 5 people and they gave us tickets for $5 each, so they definately bargain). Hike to the waterfall at Mendenahll. Bring the camera. 


Juneau

Next day Victoria, we had very little time there but were able to walk around and do some shopping. We wanted to take a double decker bus tour but did not find it. There are busses (or taxis) there that take you to town for $7.50 per person.

We spent Sat. from about 2PM in Seattle, visited the space needle, Pikes Market, walked around, enjoyed oursleves. Where we stayed (Red Lion on 5th - convenient, nice) was a short walk to the Monorail that takes you to the space needle, so we rode the Monorail.

We did use the hot tubs that are free and they are just as good.We bought just a few by the sheet, but someone told me that they planned to buy all their pictures so they got as many taken as they could - there are 5 stations set up for photos on the last formal night, and they had pics taken at all the stations.
