Having cruised some 23 times with various cruise lines, we know what standard to expect, particularly so when we cruised with NCL some eight years ago and were very happy with the standard. Not so this time.
In the first instance, the balcony cabin was the smallest we have ever had. The toilet was so small we did wonder how some of the larger passengers managed. I had to leave the toilet area and move sideways into the handbasin area to pull up my underwear.
The bed had little in the way of support and was obviously well worn. Having scrunched up the sheet one morning exposing the mattress, we knew why! There was two sheets of foam sponge between mattress and sheet. Apparently this is normal for NCL.
Smallest cabin we have ever had. 12 inch table one side of bed, bed settee on other side (no room for bedside table). Balcony just enough room for two chairs and small table. Very small clothes storage area but then they encourage living in shorts/t-shirts all day. Bathroom unbelievably small as mentioned above. Couldn't adjust the aircon.
