Costa Pacific is a beautiful ship, immaculate clean, excellant staff and great sized cabins.We picked this cruise due to two reason : the Itinerary as the only ship that went to Stockholm, Helskini, St petersburg, Talinn, Riga, Klapdeia, Gndansk and Bornham and the size of the ship.Neither the ship or itinerary dissappointed. The positives : The Rooms ; We booked one balcony cabin and one inside cabin both were roomy, massive showers and bathrooms compared to other cruises . They were kept clean three times a day - very impressive. The food - yes this is Itailan food and not the same as American/English cruise but was excellant - plenty of choice, amazing ice cream, plenty of fish/sea food and always hot The drinks : We took the x1 drinks package which meant at meal times we could have beer, wine, soft drinks and bottle waters - it was excellant value and in the evening after first night we always had wine, water and soft drinks waiting for us and as soon as bottle finished fresh bottle brought . equally at buffet lunch excellant drinks service all again includedThe Staff : very friendly and helpful room and bar staff. the englosh hostess was great The itinerary : In a word fantastic we had a full day in most places and all par Klapedia in lithuania did not dissapoint. We only need ship tours in st petersburg and everywhere else easily travelled around our selfs. The negatives; this is a euopean ship and there was only 106 british speaking on. this was not a massive hegative for us but if you are a brit that likes to chew the fat with other brits costa is not for you . As the ship departed from kiel was mainly germans but normally is more itailian customers Yes there is smoking on the ship but to be honest smoking areas are very clearly marked and you can soon find an area that is non smokingThe enterniment is very very european and not to mainstream british or american taste
