This was our first cruise and we weren't sure what to expect. I won't say we had a horrible time, but I also can't say we had a great time.
We live in NC, so the drive to Charleston was really no problem. Upon exiting I-26, we simply followed the signs to the embarkation point. It took us about 50 minutes from the time we got in line in our vehicle to the time we got on the ship.
Our stateroom was small, which was ok. Our bathroom hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest. There was an open and wet bar of soap on the sink and in the shower. EWWWWW. The walls in the cabin were dirty and smudged. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room temperature could be somewhat controlled by a vent in the ceiling. The television channels were very limited and even more so upon sailing.
