This was our first Celebrity cruise and was a 14-day cruise taken over the Christmas/New Year's holiday. I (in my mid 50's) was traveling with a married couple in their 40's and my 17-year-old son. Overall, we rated this an excellent cruise, with a few exceptions that were small irritations compared to the great time we had during our 14 days.

Embarkation was easier than we thought. We took a taxi from the San Diego airport and arrived before noon, three hours earlier than the embarkation time. We waited only 15 minutes before they let us register and enter the ship, which was nearly empty. We toasted with a cocktail at noon and lunched at 12:30 p.m. Our rooms were ready by 1 and we explored the ship from stem to stern.

This is a beautiful ship with lots of glass and sparkle. I found the ship to be spotless, including my room for the 14 days of the cruise, but my traveling companions thought the eating areas outside of the dining areas were not maintained well, i.e., the "pool butlers" ignored or refused to pick up glasses, plates, dropped food near the pool and on the upper decks.
