I read many reviews before choosing Ventura and reading between the lines thought it would suit us as we are easy going people. Overall, we enjoyed Ventura alot, there is so much on offer there is something to please everyone. The cabin - was clean and comfortable and we were well looked after by our cabin steward. Plenty of cupboard space, no bath but shower was fine and always hot water and fresh towels. We were on C deck and the balcony was double depth, half covered and half exposed so it was perfect for us and we used it alot.Dining - Bay Tree dining room, the food and service here was excellent. We had a table for 2 but as has been said before these are close together and we ended up enjoying meeting our 'neighbours', so in a way we got the best of both worlds. Beach House - in the evening this turns in to an American Grill, which had been strongly recommended to us but this was the meal we enjoyed least, not that it was bad in anyway it just didn't measure up to the hype we'd heard.Waterside Buffet, we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here......all meals had plenty of selection, it was always fresh and good quality. Delicious puddings !! It was very popular so at times we had to search for a table and one person grab it, while the other went to get their food......but its no hardship, they were not going to run out of food !! Bearing in mind the number of meals that are served here, the staff do an outstanding job with keeping the food refreshed and the tables cleared and always with a smile.Room Service - we ordered breakfast on a couple of mornings which is just continental style. Delivered on the dot by a courteous steward.......you can't ask for more than that.We didn't try the speciality restaurants as we didn't really have time, there are so many places and themed nights to try......maybe we'd give them a go on a longer cruise. We did 2 shore excursions with P & O, both of which were great. We did 2 ports on our own. Out of them all, we got more out of the excursions than our DIY but that was to be expected I suppose. Entertainment - there is so much to keep you entertained. Its not really my cup of tea but we did take in a few shows and they weren't bad. The venues were always full so they were very popular and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. There are so many bars with different atmospheres that you can find somewhere to suit your mood almost every hour of the day !! We didn't see any louts or snobs, just friends and families having fun on holiday...... a great cross section of people made a super atmosphere so if that's what you're into then Ventura is for you.Overall, I can't think of anyone thing to criticise.......if I had to pick something the one thing that I thought was cringeworthy was the great british sailaway....as I said earlier organised entertainment isn't for me so didn't actually go to it but we could hear it on our balcony, not tasteful in my opinion but different strokes for different folks, live and let live.

Cabin Review

Outside Twin with Balcony and Shower

Cabin JE

Convenient to aft lifts, great balcony (double depth), walk-in wardrobe, shower only no bath, across from crew room service access but wasn't noisy, does smell of food at times but only when not sailing must be close to a kitchen vent
