We had a great cruise. We took our three adult daughters and one "significant other." Carnival and their staff did a great job! We embarked in New Orleans and the process went without a hitch. We carried two bottles of wine on board and had no one question us or hassle us about it. We were parked, boarded and on the ship in less than an hour. We had a balcony cabin on deck seven and the kids were in ocean view staterooms on deck one. Our cabin was very clean and roomy, the balcony was a wonderful place to sit and watch the ocean (and New Orleans) go by! The kids staterooms were typical staterooms, but were clean and comfortable. They were a little too close to the engine room and this made them a bit noisy and exhibited quite a bit of vibration during docking procedures. The kids didn't seem to mind and were happy none - the - less. The Carnival Triumph and her crew are wonderful hosts. They are friendly, and very accommodating, they work hard at making sure you are having a great experience. There was a lot to do on board ship while we were sailing, so a person should never be without something to do, and if all else fails one can visit the Lido Deck for wonderful food, 24 hour pizza and ice cream. The entertainment on board was awesome with all types of music being played at several of the bars on board. The shows in the Rome Lounge were as good as you would see in Las Vegas, They had a magic show that was actually a Las Vegas duo that boarded in Cozumel, this was a great show. and the two comedians were very funny and played to standing room only crowds. Our debarkation went off without a hitch, even though they were running about thirty minutes behind. We chose the "zone" debarkation and had a great breakfast in the Paris dining room before we went to our "relaxation" spot in the World Bar. We had to wait in line to get off, but it took less than an hour to get off and to our car. There was no issues with traffic and we drove straight out of New Orleans without any problems. Our kids did the Self Assist and were off the ship in thirty minutes and headed home by 7:30am, no traffic issues and no problems getting off. Carnival did a great job from beginning to end on this cruise and we will be cruising with them again !

Cabin Review

Balcony

Great Balcony and very roomy. Plenty of drawer and closet space. TV needs to be upgraded, but who watches TV on a cruise ??
