Introduction:I'm my wife and I are in our 20's and for our honeymoon we wanted to do something that we had both wanted to do..A Cruise. After searching online for different cruise lines we decided on Carnival for a number of reasons. Enbarkation:Being our first cruise we were half expecting chaos. We had flew down on Friday for a Saturday sailing and arrived at the terminal around 1pm. After the initial security the wait time was less than 30mins from the time we left security to the time we were on the boat. Everyone was so nice during check in. On the board: Just to get it out of the way this ship is HUGE. We had a balcony stateroom on deck 9. Unless you have a problem with hights I highly recommend the Vista deck. One floor up is the buffet and pools. Getting around on the board was fairly easy after the first day once we learned where everything was. Food:We mostly ate the buffets and the food there was good at times and not so good at others. The Pizza place (which is open 24hours) was awesome. Some of the best Pizza I have had. Breakfast was good nice variety. The omelette bar during breakfast is quite long unless you get up early. We did eat in the Crimson dining room twice. I had a steak the first time and my wife had some Chicken dish both were great. The next time I had BBQ ribs and she had prime rib. The Ribs that I had were good but hte prime rib wasn't the best. Buy a drink card a can of soda is close to $3 And you can get a drink card at any of the bars, it's well worth it. Entertainment:There is always something to do or see. The Encore Theater in the very back of the boat had wonderful shows. Everything from a Magic show to a Country Review show. They were all great. There is a mini-golf course, Water slides, and each night around 8 there are movies under the stars on deck 10. Staff:Everyone was very nice. Our Steward always asked how our day was going and always called us by our first names. The waiters in the dining room always call us by name.Debarkation:We had an early flight out of Orlando so we did self debarkation. We were off the ship around 7:45 AM. Overall:Carnival Dream was great. It was our first Cruise and so we have nothing to compare it to. I would highly recommend Carnival Dream and the Eastern Carribean cruise to anyone.
